Fixed-line telecom provider China Netcom is strengthening its security by using solutions from Nokia (News - Alert) Siemens. The company tapped Nokia Siemens Networks to guarantee information security for its data communication network (DCN) covering 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions of China.

 

Nokia Siemens Networks (News - Alert) has extensive experience in addressing network security issues, making it an ideal partner in this endeavor. The company has worked closely with China Netcom to understand the provider’s network infrastructure, analyze the risks and enable secure services.

 

Moreover, Nokia Siemens Networks has built a complete information security management system for China Netcom (News - Alert) covering assessment, consulting, design, systems integration and project management, this comprehensive portfolio of solutions is expected to reduce potential losses caused by information security risks, support the stable development of China Netcom’s services and will thus reduce operational expenditures (OPEX (News - Alert)).
