Zoho has made a deal with Baihui to re-brand and distribute its online collaborative productivity and business applications to users in China. Under this partnership Baihui will label the Zoho package containing the Zoho's customer relationship management application, Zoho CRM, Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet, and Zoho Show and distribute it for several thousand resellers and software integrators.
Zoho is creating the most comprehensive suite of affordable, online collaborative productivity applications and business applications for today's knowledge workers. Baihui is the subsidiary of PC Star, an online software distributor in China.
The nonexclusive agreement is the first ever to be signed by Zoho to host its applications outside of its own data centers. Zoho, which already has Chinese-language versions of its products, and users in China, wants to take advantage of PC Star's established user base.
The applications offers will be re-branded in Chinese names. Zoho Writer is Baihui Xiexie, Zoho Sheet is Baihui Gege, Zoho Show is Baihui Xiuxiu, and Zoho CRM is Baihui CRM.
Baihui will be offering the pack for free for the first three users in an organization and the price from the fourth user will be 99 RMB ($25) per user per month. Baihui also offers non-Zoho search functions and may add additional Zoho or other applications in the future.
Zoho will make use of the vast resources of its parent company AdvnetNet to make a strong entry into the enterprise software market.
