TMCnet Contributing Editor

Nth Air, specializing in the provision of next-generation wireless communication services, announced that it has launched the Nth Air wireless broadband solution across western San Jose and Santa Clara.

The solution will deliver high-capacity video, voice and data services. The new fixed point-to-multipoint network offers high availability wireless broadband to San Jose businesses.

Nth Air is a wireless broadband service provider currently deploying a WiMAX (News - Alert) network throughout the country. It is aiming at the commercial implementation of WiMAX, GigE and mesh-based networks for delivering high-capacity solutions cost effectively. The time consumed is only a fraction of the time required for deploying traditional wire-line solutions.

San Jose and Santa Clara businesses will be able to access online connectivity through a wireless broadband network made possible by the installation of the primary station in the Santa Row area of San Jose. This broadband network is capable of allowing delivery of data, voice and video at speeds which are much higher than what was available to wireless business users in San Jose metro area previously.

“Launching the San Jose network allows us to bring Nth Net business-class Internet connectivity and other services to the San Jose metro area,” remarked Craig Niemeyer, chief executive officer and president of Nth Air. “Being the first to deliver services, in the Silicon Valley, using WiMAX technology has been our goal. Now that we have done so in our own backyard, we intend to expand rapidly into other markets.”

Nth Air delivers broadband services throughout the country over a 3.65 GHz WiMAX network in markets not yet covered by other networks. The services offered by Nth Air include completely integrated, end-to-end wireless broadband solutions from business-class connectivity to transport access, disaster recovery and broadband properties solutions besides professional and managed services. Subscribers are offered up to 1 Gbps symmetrical, dedicated, scalable services in order to support their needs.

Nth Air also announced the launch of the Nth Air wireless broadband solution across Denver for the delivery of high capacity video, voice and data services. The fixed point-to-multipoint network offers 3.65 GHz wireless broadband to Denver businesses.

The installation of a primary station in downtown Denver enables Democratic National Convention attendees to access online connectivity through the network allowing delivery of data, voice and video at higher speeds than what was available to Denver metro area.

“Denver has been in our plans for sometime. We felt with the increased volume of visitors to the Denver metro area for this historic event, this would be the time to make our next generation network available in Denver,” added Niemeyer, “
