Tilgin did not disclose the name of the incumbent telecom operator which will be doing the field trial as part its initial triple-play deployment using Internet Protocol (IP) technology, and the size of the order value. But, Tilgin said the order value is limited.
The telecom operator, which is one of Eastern Europe's largest fixed-line operator, is planning to expand its triple-play offering with bundled IPTV, voice over IP (VoIP) and high-speed Internet services. The telecom operator has more than 500,000 broadband subscribers and 3 million fixed-line subscribers.
“We continue to see the Eastern European countries rapidly expanding when it comes to broadband services,” said Ola Berglund (

“Together with recently announced orders via global telecom companies, this validates the success of Tilgin's sales model with both direct sales to major operators, as well as indirect sales via global telecom companies,” Berglund added.
Tilgin, which designs and delivers premier IP customer premises equipment (CPE) for triple-play and IP Multimedia Subsystem (

As part of the trail order, the telecom operator, the largest telecommunications company in its country with focus on reducing churn and offering a competitive portfolio of triple- play services to its subscriber base, will get the latest home gateway product HG 1100 for multi-play connectivity with ADSL2+ from Tilgin.
Tilgin offers service providers unprecedented return on investment (RoI) by delivering new service revenues and cost savings over the lifetime of the product. RoI and cost savings are focus areas for telecom operators. This triple-play solution is part of a leading system integrator's end-to-end solution enabling the operator to offer their customers improved broadband services.
