Alert) Technology’s new SABRE Ranger BGAN SCADA terminal.
Addvalue Chairman and CEO Colin Chan said: "With its large installed base of BGAN systems and its deep understanding of the SCADA market, Stratos is well positioned to introduce the benefits of the SABRE Ranger terminal to a broad global audience. We expect this new agreement will be the latest in a series of successful partnerships we have enjoyed with Stratos."
BGAN in general is used to enable communications in areas where terrestrial or cellular networks are damaged, congested, or non-existent. Since its introduction in 2006, BGAN from Stratos has been widely adopted by military and NGO agencies, media organizations, first responders and professionals in many other industries worldwide.
Speaking on this occasion, Stratos President and CEO Jim Parm said: “Partnering with Addvalue to develop this easily deployable, cost-effective BGAN SCADA service illustrates our ability to broaden the depth of our SCADA offering to respond to urgent customer requirements."

Company’s explains that BGAN SCADA service can serve as a network-independent backup solution to DataSat II (Company's Ku-band, VSAT-based SCADA service), ensuring seamless connectivity in case of extreme weather. It supports applications for data collection and monitoring of remote assets - including utility substations and oil or gas pipelines.
Stratos is also offering enhanced IP or serial polling with 24x7 network monitoring from its Network Operations Center (NOC (

Company confirms that its Operation center staff is well trained, SCADA-network experienced, just to ensure the highest possible network availability and provide specific insight for SCADA applications.
Recently Tesacom, Stratos and Addvalue Communications together announced the conclusion of their successful deployment of a 1,200-site BGAN mobile satellite network for the Brazilian Electoral Superior Court (TSE). The companies completed their support of the final round of Brazil's municipal elections, which were held October 26.
