Orca Interactive, a provider of IPTV (News - Alert) middleware and applications is entering into the Russian wholesale market by associating with BCC Company, a consultant in the field of development and systems integration, to deliver a new IPTV infrastructure across Russia.

Orca Interactive’s (News - Alert) multi-channel streaming applications are used by the network operators and service providers who wish to generate additional revenues by offering rich media content over multi channels to their subscribers.

 

Under this agreement, Orca and BCC will offer the IPTV solution throughout Russia, thus opening up currently localized IPTV services to the masses. The solution will allow the operators to offer broadband access and TV services under their own brand. Each regional operator's service leverages TV channels, on-demand content, authentication and reporting sourced by a super-headend based in Moscow.

 

Orca’s IPTV middleware will enable the operators to offer tailor content, user interfaces, services, pricing and electronic program guide (EPG) channels and offer an advanced IPTV package to other operators.

 

Additionally, based on Orca’s service delivery platform SDP, the wholesale solution together with BCC’s guidance in implementation and maintenance features certain advanced applications such as games and other services.
