Alert), a provider of new world of communications, announced the expansion of its global multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) services into South-East Asian countries including the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand.
MPLS is a data-carrying mechanism that belongs to the family of packet-switched networks. Currently, the company offers its MPLS services in 65 countries.
In addition, it also offers Extended Access Service that includes broadband access and Internet protocol security (IPSec) integration. IPSec is a suite of protocols for securing IP communications by authenticating and encrypting each IP packet of a data stream.
Being one of the prominent providers of MPLS in Asia, the India based company provides customers access to network of owned cables. According to the company, this ensures full scalability, redundancy, and vast global reach to the Middle East, Europe, and Americas. The company said it has plans to offer the service soon in Latin America.
Industry report suggests that growth industry sectors such as manufacturing, telecommunications, and tourism are seeing high growth. And, these enterprises need to communicate and collaborate with geographically dispersed employees, customers and partners.
Company officials said, they offer a comprehensive global virtual private network (VPN) services and these services provide customers flexible solutions to meet the diverse needs including flexible access options, a wide range of port speeds and traffic prioritization through multiple classes of service.
Additionally, the customer can also select from a host of other networking solutions to avoid different vendors for different network needs. These networking solutions include Managed Security, Managed Hosting and Storage, and TelePresence.
In the Asian region, the company has also initiated construction of the TGN-Intra Asia cable system. This cable system is provisioned to have direct link from Singapore to Japan and Hong Kong.
Also, the system is expected to provide inroads to Vietnam and the Philippines. Officials said that once the system is operational, its express fiber route between Singapore and Japan will offer solutions with the lowest latency.
Virtual UTM integrates security functions such as firewall, intrusion detection and prevention, anti-virus, anti-spam, and Web content filtering as part of its Managed Security Services portfolio. Tata Communications partnered with Fortinet, a provider of UTM solutions, as the technology supplier for its vUTM service.
