Verizon Communications, a New York-based company offering broadband and other wireline and wireless communication services, will now be offering its customers access to the new, online
NFL Network programming and content. NFL Network is a television network exclusively focusing in the professional football.
Launched on November 4th, 2003, the NFL Network features more than 1,500 hours of original programming throughout the year.
Football fans can now cherish this latest deal of Verizon (
News -
Alert) broadband and NFL Network which will allow Verizon broadband customers access to the virtual broadcast booth, enabling them to customize their NFL viewing experience for eight highly anticipated games. Customers can also have access to a variety of other game-enhancing features.
The offer is available through NFL Network Game Extra, where customers can view live match, online broadcasts of football games from multiple camera feeds. Additionally, customers will have online access to up-to-the-minute game statistics, drive chart simulations, on-demand video highlights and live chats with other NFL Network Game Extra viewers and live audio feeds.
NFL Network Game Extra is available to customers who subscribe to Verizon's Fibre Optic (
FiOS), the high-speed Internet service, with either
FiOS TV or
DIRECTV through Verizon.
Verizon claims that the company is the only broadband provider to carry NFL Network games both on TV and online.
Subscribers to both Verizon TV and broadband services can have access to eight key football games.
