M5 Networks (

Alert), a provider of phone system functionality as a service, has announced its partnership with Holdcom, a company focused on providing audio marketing services to more than 8,000 organizations throughout the world.
As part of this partnership, M5 will integrate Holdcom’s Message-On-Hold and related audio services into M5’s Voice as a Service (VaaS), which delivers phone system capabilities as an on-demand, managed service over an IP

network optimized for voice.
Voice communications continues to gain in importance for high-level transactions that cannot be completed through an online interface. With Holdcom’s automated phone menu recordings and Message-On-Hold advertisements, users are provided with a consistent, professional audio brand for M5’ clients.
M5 offers such features as Call Center capabilities, Web-enabled find me/follow me and emergency scenario call routing

. To complement these solutions, Holdcom provides customers with another way to confidently answer the question, "How does your business sound?"
In an effort to advance M5’s commitment to Active Service Management, considered one of the three cornerstones of Voice as a Service, Holdcom’s voice services are available to active clients at a discount rate through the M5 Service Portal.
The M5/Holdcom Audio Production Store can also be accessed on the M5 Networks website. M5’s clients work directly with Holdcom, submitting scripts for automated phone menus or Message-On-Hold advertisements. In return, customers receive meticulously engineered audio productions recorded by premier voice talent.
"A caller on hold is a captive audience," said Kerrin Parker, vice president of operations for M5 Networks, in a Thursday statement.
"Holdcom's Message-On-Hold service enhances this caller's experience, allowing M5's customers to take advantage of a unique opportunity to showcase their brand, products or services. This partnership with Holdcom is another way M5's services meet the unique voice needs of our clients."
Since 1987, Holdcom has focused its efforts on providing high quality audio services to a client list of growing businesses. The company offers audio marketing services to clients around the globe, including Pfizer, Macy's, Dannon, Virgin Atlantic Airlines, the NBA and Liberty Health System.
Having pioneered “Voice as a Service”, M5 Networks provides a rapidly growing base of mid-sized businesses with phone system capabilities as an on-demand, managed service over an IP network optimized for voice.
Interestingly, research has shown that customers do want to know about new products and services and why not tell them about them while they are on hold and have nothing better to do. Sure, some may find the messages to be annoying, but the same can be said about any advertisement. With this medium, companies can maximize their exposure while also providing a type of ‘entertainment’ for those waiting on hold.
