Under an agreement with Verizon Business (

With the help of SaaS (

Moreover, company officials said that applications are delivered as managed Internet protocol (IP

) services over the Web, which helps to control setup and operational costs, and customers pay for the computing resources utilized.
Verizon Business is providing the IP trunking that connects hotel properties to Thing5 data centers.
The newly available Verizon Business service, Burstable Enterprise Shared Trunks (B (

In addition, Thing5 is also using Verizon Business hosting to augment its own facilities, which enables load balancing of traffic and provides redundancy to strengthen business continuity.
“Working with Verizon Business, we have a flexible and reliable IP network over which we are able to provide our customers highly available voice and messaging platforms,” said Bill Faxon, managing director at Thing5.
He also said that the IP networking capabilities delivered by Verizon Business enable Thing5 to help the hospitality clients control costs through the company’s SaaS model.
“The work we are doing with Thing5 underscores the transformative power of IP,” said Stephen P. Young, senior vice president for corporate and government market sales at Verizon Business.
He also said that using the SaaS model, company’s IP services help Thing5 deliver services to hospitality clients with ease of management and low cost. “Our IP capabilities not only help power Thing5's business, they also enable its customers to operate more efficiently," he said.
