Alert), a provider of VoIP networking and security products, announced that VABB has selected Edgewater Networks’ solution for its VoIP services.
The solution, which consists of EdgeMarc Network Services Gateways, EdgeView VoIP Support System and EdgeView Reports Server Products allows Virginia Broadband Voice Solution to offer quality service at a lower cost.
The EdgeMarc gateways allows VABB to demarcate VoIP offerings to various customers thus ensuring scale and cost savings on the VoIP installations and also ensure a positive customer experience of the service and installation.
“We chose the Edgewater Networks solution because it not only gives us the Quality of Service (QoS) our customers demand but it also gives us the plug and dial setup capabilities at the time of installation,” said Mark Davis, vice president of voice at VABB.
He further added, “Having an entire solution that allows us to quickly install the IP phones and get the customer up and running fast benefits the customer as well as our business. We are in the business of getting people the service they order and this powerful solution makes it happen.”
In addition to QoS capabilities, the EdgeMarc and EdgeView total network solution also offers plug and dial feature for IP phones. Edgewater Networks which formed the Plug & Dial Alliance to simplify the installation of VoIP and the interoperability program, now has members from various IP Phone manufacturers and feature server vendors.
“For larger enterprise VoIP accounts this is the best solution on the market from a QoS and execution standpoint. On our larger accounts, we factor in up to a $1,500 savings in installation costs and expect the same savings for ongoing account management. These savings allow us to be more aggressive in the enterprise space and win more business,” said Davis.
The EdgeView Reports server allows VABB to continually measure and share the voice quality they are providing directly with their customers.
“A simple example of how we use the reporting tool is that we produce a report for the customer after their first month with the hosted service. This report contains the number of calls placed during the month and the percentage of calls measured that experienced a poor Mean Opinion Score. This percentage is usually very low and the report enables us to prove the quality of the service we are delivering,” added Davis.
“We are very excited about our partnership with Virginia Broadband. Their deployment of our product and services shows the value we bring to our partners,” said David Norman, chief executive officer of Edgewater Networks
“We believe our EdgeMarc and Edgeview solution allow service providers to simplify their offerings and scale their businesses. VABB is now realizing savings on every VoIP deployment, which is a testament to how we help our partners compete and streamline their business,” explained Norman.
