Infinite Campus Customers to Benefit from ShoutPoint Collaboration
TMCnet Contributing Editor

Infinite Campus, the provider of advanced student information system functionality, has entered into a strategic partnership with ShoutPoint (News - Alert) for high availability and redundant interactive voice messaging services. ShoutPoint’s Campus Messenger with Voice provides automated voice communication with first class flexibility and performance when dialing critically timed and emergency phone calls on-demand.

"This partnership will give Infinite Campus customers the ability to distribute voice messages without the need for additional costly hardware investment or long distance charges," stated Dan Orlando, Infinite Campus manager of Strategic Alliances. "With this alliance, our customers will be able to leverage the power of multiple domestic routing centers and the responsiveness of ShoutPoint's large volume capabilities to distribute emergency messages within minutes."

Infinite Campus customers will not only be able to access ShoutPoint's interactive voice infrastructure for mass emergency messaging, but they will also be able to harness it for everyday voice communication requirements such as attendance dialing, behavior incidents and other district-specific notices.

"This partnership allows Infinite Campus and its K12 customers to communicate critical information to within minutes by leveraging the ShoutPoint redundant voice infrastructure in North America," stated Elisa (News - Alert) Henry, vice president of sales and marketing. "The partnership provides dedicated ports and new emergency capacity on-demand to make voice calls and allows Infinite Campus customers to prioritize all emergency traffic when needed."

Some parts of the new service are expected to receive E-rate funding. Infinite Campus customers will be able to enjoy the service in December 2008 when the 2009.2 version will be released.

Blaine, Minnesota-based Infinite Campus boasts a 99 percent retention rate for customers who have purchased and implemented the system since its inception in 1993.
