XO Communications Attains Cisco TelePresence Connection Certification

XO Communications announced that its multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) IP-VPN service has achieved Cisco’s (News - Alert) TelePresence Connection Certification.

 
According to XO, its IP-based VPN service supports most demanding enterprise voice, video and data applications.
 
Cisco’s TelePresence Connection Certification is a certification program designed for TelePresence services that provides businesses with an added level of confidence that service providers have invested, in order to gain the capabilities which is required for an optimal TelePresence experience.
 
The Cisco Powered TelePresence Connection Certification process takes in to account of practices based on present industry standards for network architecture, management and performance, including measurement, staff, processes and tools. These are timely audited to help ensure that service providers are committed and also able to provide an optimal Cisco TelePresence experience. This facilitates in providing the company’s customers with robust, end-to-end communication solutions.
 
According to XO, its MPLS IP-VPN service offers a wide-range of access options to connect locations and flexible Classes of Services, in order to prioritize Internet, Intranet, Extranet, voice, video and mission-critical business applications, all over a single, high-performance application-aware IP network.
 
Key features of XO MPLS IP-VPN service include: broad coverage with service availability in 75 metropolitan markets across the United States; MPLS-based network architecture, which provides a platform for any-to-any connectivity among all sites, and enables quick and easy set up of new sites added to the network; broad range of access options; optimized data traffic flows to support any type of application with one flat rate for access to all four classes of service; decreases total cost of ownership; and 24x7 monitoring of network facilities and equipment.
