Alert), a provider of wholesale communication services, announced on Wednesday the launch of a new, single point of interconnection (SPI) T1 service. With this service, 360networks will supply clear channel T1 access to over 380 wire centers in 32 markets throughout the western U.S.
Customers can interconnect at any of 360networks' POP locations. Once connected, customers will gain 360networks’ end-to-end T1 access from the point of interconnection to their location at a flat-rate price per T1.
The service was created to support customers who want to expand their footprint without having to collocate equipment or spend money on long-haul facilities to interconnect multiple hub locations.
"The SPI T1 service works well for customers deploying wide area network (WAN) applications, integrated access, SIP trunking, and hosted VoIP along with other voice or data services," said Rick Coma, senior vice president.
"The product is very simple; once you interconnect to 360networks, you begin ordering T1s. The only recurring cost associated with this service is the fixed monthly rate per individual T1,” added Coma.
360networks' SPI T1 service is a 100 percent point-to-point, clear channel solution. The service runs on the company's wholly owned 17,200-mile fiber-optic backbone and complements its existing VoIP360 portfolio. Customers can now deliver 100 percent on-net QOS hosted VoIP and SIP trunking services with 360networks' VoIP and access platform.
360networks’ integrated network architecture spans over 17,200 miles, offering a long-haul and metro presence in over 48 markets. The company offers a comprehensive range of infrastructure services to carriers, ISPs, and cable companies, as well as small, medium, and large businesses. These services include IP, Private Line, Collocation Services, and VoIP. The wholly owned network was built to support fast, reliable, and efficient transport of voice and data services. 360networks' SONET Ring is a fully meshed architecture designed to provide complete redundancy and enable the company to reliably provide a high level of service to its customers.
