“As an ‘Exchange Ranger,’ he has received the most up-to-date and extensive training on Microsoft Exchange and has been certified by his MCA-M peers,” said Matthews, referring to Bjurman-Birr’s expertise. “Given there are less than 100 ‘Rangers’ worldwide, David has a unique perspective and knowledge that will be greatly beneficial to our customers. He will also focus on finding deeper ways to integrate our Noteworthy platform with Exchange, creating a seamless hybrid solution that is customizable for any business.”
Before he joined Mailtrust, Bjurman-Birr worked at Dell’s Microsoft Infrastructure Consulting Practice since 2005. There, he was in charge of planning analyzing and implementing unified communications (UC) and messaging solutions that directly supported the strategic initiatives of clients. He also held sessions for Dell TechSummit, Microsoft TechEd and various seminars and technical conferences.
“As more and more businesses outsource their e-mail services to us, Mailtrust will require continuous infrastructure evolution and maintenance to adapt and align with our customer’s business requirements, and I am excited to be a part of the talented team here at Mailtrust. Microsoft Exchange is the standard when it comes to business communication and collaboration,” said Bjurman-Birr.
Mailtrust, which is a division of Rackspace, was established in 1999. Rackspace acquired it in 2007 and has its headquarters in Blacksburg. Mailtrust provides e-mail hosting for geographically dispersed small and medium sized businesses (SMBs). It also maintains and manages e-mail hosting infrastructure and services, which in turn frees up information technology (IT) resources. This also helps to eliminate the requirement for customers to buy software, hardware and security services related to e-mail.
